10 Ways to Start a Hosting Company!

Hello this is my latest just published on ezine articles which I hope you enjoy!   Just a very quick point here… Having a reseller hosting account, does not mean you have to be a reseller!  What it does mean is you will have a Lot! of bandwidth to host many exciting powerful sites.

Starting a hosting company  involves becoming a hosting reseller.  OK the next question… What is a hosting reseller?  A reseller generally is someone who has bought through his or her hosting company enough bandwidth on a server to create multiple websites using  a web host manager panel usually referred to as a  WHM panel.  

 This then allows the hosting reseller to create disk space on a server for a domain name and, allocate a percentage of that servers bandwidth  let’s say 80 megabytes enough room for a very basic website  and sell  that to the website owner for a fee monthly or yearly. 

The Idea being that if your hosting is lets say around $44 dollars a month and you have 20 clients with 80 megabyte sites paying you $15 dollars a month… You have the beginning of a very nice business!  

This is not a project for a new comer  to Internet Marketing and Hosting websites online,  but it is certainly a learn-able  skill that can be broken down into a step by step  process.  Once your grasp of hosting and marketing has broadened  reseller hosting  is an obvious step in developing multiple income streams of passive income. To start your reseller hosting business you can…

1. Develop a website to promote your services

2. You can start a blog and generate interest for your hosting that way

3. You can advertise in the local journals

4. You can join the local chamber of commerce and network

5. You can leaflet drop local business owners

6. Better yet you can canvass them

7. Do forum marketing in local groups perhaps on Yahoo

8. You can target a specific trades or group and specialise

9. Advertise in the ezines and professional journals of your chosen target group

10. Be persistent and take action… Then your plan will work

Also this could almost be number 11. Becoming a hosting reseller is almost an organic process, you as a Marketer have various sites and perhaps  in conversation you may well mention that one day! You will be asked  “O I wonder if…”  and next thing you know you have a potential client.  So in essence what was just a good idea when you first go involved with site hosting i.e.; buy a hosting package that lets you knock out a load of affiliate sites quickly because a reseller account gives you the keys to the server…

The company I host with calls their  premium account Titanium  this is a very powerfull account   that will allow you to be a hosting reseller or host multiple sites on many subjects with all the graphics video and free reports etc you wish untill a site or sites really hits the big time and then common sense will tell you… Look after this asset and get a dedicated server.
